A gaming uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a battery backup for your PC and console. APC Back-UPS™ Pro Gaming keeps you protected, connected, and in the game.
Q: Can you turn off the lighting on the unit, so the unit would be dark at night during sleeping hours?
A: I was able to turn off everything except the illuminated letters "APC" on the top of the unit. The manual's list of functions includes: Function: Turn on/off the led lights Timing: 6 seconds Description: Press and hold the LED button to turn on/off the LED lights status (buzzer will beep when 6 seconds pass). The status will cycle through: Front and rear LED on - Front LED on, rear LED off - Front LED off, rear LED on - Front LED and rear LED off. The manual didn't say anything about turning off the illuminated letters "APC" on the top of the unit. (I presume, but haven't tested, that when the unit is turned off, the letters won't be illuminated.)
Q: Does this model provide pure sine wave when on battery power?
A: Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes the BGM1500B would have a pure wine wave online and on battery.
Q: What is power switch time from AC to battery in milliseconds when AC power goes out?
A: Thank you for your interest in our products. The BGM1500B is a line interactive UPS. The transfer time would depend on the sensitivity setting is set too. At high it would be 2-4 milliseconds. At medium it would be 6-8 milliseconds. At low it would be 8-10 milliseconds.
Q: Can this unit be charged with a protentional harmonic rating of 23%THD from a standard generator?
A: Thank you for your interest in our products. 23% THD would be a bit high so there is a chance that the UPS would stay on battery the entire time the generator is running. If it does run on battery you can try dropping the sensitivity down to low but if the generator power is to far out of spec it will cause the UPS to stay on battery. Generally we recommend our SmartUPS or SmartUPS Online for use with a generator.
Q: i have 36 cameras at my business. will this battery back up be strong enough
A: Thank you for your interest in our products. It really depends on how much power the cameras draw. The BGM1500 would support 900 watts of equipment connected to it so it would need to be under that. I would see if you can find the specs on the cameras to see how much power they draw.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the UPS will turn back on once the battery is around 15%.
A: Thank you for inquiry. Yes they would both use the same software.
Q: How long would this run my dild-o?
A: Thank you for interest in our products. The runtime would really depend on how much power the connected devices draw. At 90 watts you would get around 1 hour and 24 minutes of runtime. If the power draw is lower which I suspect it will be the runtime will be higher. If the power draw is higher then the runtime will be lower.
