Q: How many amps does this pull?
A: Hi Justin - Running amps is 2.0. Wattage rating is approximately 230. The freezer should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating plate. A 115 Volt AC, 60 Hz, 15- or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits which could cause a fire hazard from overheated wires. The freezer must be properly grounded. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug which mates with a standard three-prong (grounding) wall receptacle to minimize the possibility of electric shock hazard from this appliance. I bought this freezer for my daughter and her family, they love it the size is perfect now they don't have to empty the freezer to find what they what. More than enough space to accommodate their needs. She loves the communicator lights on the outside to allow you to see if there are any issues.

We have the freezer in our (Texas) garage and it has no trouble keeping up with the hot temperatures in the summer. Runs very quietly.

Buying a new freezer was a must as the old one was between 30 and 40 years old. Assessing it as a new item is difficult as we will need lots of time to see that it works well. It looks nice and does the job.
