The Insignia 14.0 Cu. Ft. Garage-Ready Chest Freezer does exactly what it says: it freezes stuff. It’s basically a big icy cave for all the bulk food I’ll probably forget about until next year. The three baskets on top are great for pretending I’m organized, and the LED light makes it feel like I’m opening a treasure chest… full of frozen chicken. Now, the “lock” is a joke. I think a determined toddler or raccoon could outsmart it. Also, this thing is louder than I expected—sometimes I think it’s trying to communicate with me in freezer Morse code. But hey, it’s cold, it holds a ton of food, and it hasn’t quit yet.

I recently purchased the 14.0 cu. ft. Insignia chest freezer from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. First and foremost, the freezer is incredibly spacious, offering ample room to store everything I need with ease. It’s perfect for bulk storage, and I love how organized I can keep everything inside. Another standout feature is how quiet it is. Even with its large capacity, it operates almost silently, which is a huge plus in my home. I’ve also noticed that it’s very energy-efficient, which is important to me as I try to keep my utility costs down. I also have to give a shoutout to the Best Buy delivery team. They were polite, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure the freezer was placed exactly where I wanted it. The entire process—from purchase to delivery—was seamless, making this a great experience overall. Check for damage before taking home! Had it shipped to store. After getting home and unboxing I noticed the corner of the lid was damaged. I called the customer support. They told me to bring it back for refund, but could not tell me when/if I could get another one As was showing temporally out of stock. Didn't want to load and unload by myself again so decide to keep as the damage didn't affect the seal of the lid. That is my reason for knocking 1 star off. Caught during a deal of the day sale. Pleased with the size of the freezer. Used this to replace 2 smaller freezer. Very Quiet. The light along with 3 wire baskets is a nice addition as well. The green indicator light is nice and bright making it easy to tell that it has power. Overall for the money this can't be beat.

We sell frozen products and have had a number of freezers over the past 15 or more years. Some keep on keeping on, some have quit, one (US) brand being worse than others. They all rust, especially on the inside around the bottom. I'm delighted with the two Insignia units that I bought on Deal of the Day for a very economical price. The internal shell appears to be aluminum, so the rust issue shouldn't be a problem. I did run a bead of silicon around all of the joins in the internal shell, as I've had issues with mold starting after a defrost or two. By sealing the joints, it makes it waterproof. I'm a little surprised that this doesn't happen at the factory TBH. I'm delighted with these two freezers, they hold a deep cold, and 14 cubic feet is an ideal size. Highly recommended!

Our new chest freezer is holding the temperature we've set it at perfectly and provides all the space and a little bit more for our needs. So glad we upgraded to a larger freezer yet it still is small enough to keep in our room that's just off of our kitchen, rather than put it into the garage. If we end up moving, though, and our space availability changes, am grateful this model is garage-ready.

Great freezer…Works well and is quiet. My only complaint is if you close it, you have to wait a minute or two before you can open it again. I guess it gets into the process of re-sealing.

It is very spacious and has 3 baskets that come in and out easily and are very good quality. It is pretty difficult to get the lid open if you don't put the handle on, but once it's on it isn't too difficult.

Im in love with my new deep freezer. While I had reviewed the dimensions for it I was delighted to see that it was larger inside than I had anticipated. Before purchasing I went over all of the negative reviews and was pleased to see that most were about delivery and install, less about the product itself. Though the lid does get quite cold its not a concern. Still i recommend purchasing the insurance for it just incase something malfunctions later on. Summer is coming up and my garage gets insanely hot so i will see how well it holds temp then. High hopes so far :)

This was my first best buy purchase ever. I bought two of these freezers to fit a whole cow in. Together, they fit 850# of meat with room to spare. They came packaged very well, and pickup process went smooth as silk. One month in, and i can say it was a 10/10 experience.

This freezer is the first freezer i have bought,so far it’s a really good freezer,and it Works really well for me because i sell food,and normally i get a lot ordered,you can fit a lot of food in the freezer,i recomend it a lot!

I need this quick, so had to drive down to the Best Buy Missouri City warehouse to pick it up. You go to the front and have them validate your order, then drive around to the dock to pick up the order. Average size. Not too big, and not too small. Just the right size for my garage. There is a sprout for defrosting in the back. Plugged it in, and was cold within hours. So far so good.

Having purchased multiple Insignia freezers, I can say they have all been reliable. The 14 cf chest model can easily fit a half cow using baskets and boxes to organize and still have extra room to spare. It also has a light in the lid.

Freezer was easy to move, install, and almost fit a whole beef. Definitely best bang for your buck around.

Great product. Big enough to store a whole cow. Easy to move around with the wheels underneath. It also has a defrost switch. It also comes with 2 keys to lock it. Recommend it 100%.

A very good chest freezer, this is our second one. It is very spacious, i like the 3 baskets it comes with. I recommend. Have had it for a lil over 1 year n we've had no problems with it.

Only had for a month but so far it’s great. I put it in my garage and it keeps temp very well! I would def recommend. I have other insignificant appliances, 4yrs now and haven’t had any issues!

So far so good. I was advised by the tech to let sit for 12 to 24 hrs due to it being transported standing up. The freezer is ver spacious, comes with ablight and lock. And as of this review it is operating well in my garge.
