Q: Is this range convection only? Or is it also a "regular" electric range?
A: The range is both convection and regular
Q: Is this a stand alone slide in or does it need counters on each side to stabilize it?
A: I installed this myself. It can stand alone and function, but the sides are not finished, so it would look bad. Plus, the glass overhangs the countertop by about 1/2 inch on each side. Overall we love this and we have had it about a year. It is better than the induction oven we replaced.
A: It does make sound but I do not find it disturbing or objectionable. I read reviews before purchasing this range as well as reviews for a couple of other brands. Unfortunately there is so much information online that it seems if we avoid everything with any reviews which may be negative for any reason we would never buy anything. I considered all of the reviews that I had read and bought this range in Fall 2017. I have not regretted it.
A: I measure it to be 28 1/2” deep plus 1 3/4” more to handle. It sticks out about 5” from my cabinets and that includes the handle. 3 1/4” if you don’t include the handle.
A: Hi Freckles. Thank you for your question. The overall appliance dimensions are 35 1/2"–37" H x 31 1/2"W x 28 7/8" D. The required cutout dimensions are 35 1/2"–37" H x 30" W x 25" D. The portion of the range that slides in is 30" The sides are designed to overhang the countertop a slight bit to avoid spillage between cabinets and the range. It also is a bit deeper in the front to give a built-in look.
A: Yes, there is a panel lock button on the front. You have to hold it for three seconds to lock or unlock, so thats probably just what you are looking for. We love this stove. It is better than the convention unit we replaced it for.
A: I don't own a Bosch (am considering it) but I do know that on our older electric stove, the two coil front burner does exactly the same thing. It seems to be normal functionality.
