Warm air may be released from the vent before, during and after cooking. It is normal to see steam escaping from the vent and condensation may collect in this area. This area may be hot when the oven is in use. Do not block the vent as it is important for air circulation.
A: Yes we also have a 30 inch opening the actual box is 29. 3/4 but the glass top overhangs bring it to the 31 3/4 the bosh fit in perfectly! Highly recommend this product we love it!

The Use and Care Manual will give you full care and cleaning instructions. As an example: Per the Use and Care Manual: Here are some cookware tips for keeping the cooktop scratch free: Use of pots and pans with rounded (either concave or convex) warped or dented bottoms should be avoided. Make sure the bottom of the pot or pan being used is clean and dry. Use pots and pans with thick, smooth metal bottoms. Do not slide metal pots across the cooktop. Pans may leave marks which need to be removed immediately. Do not use glass pans as they may scratch the surface.

Best Range Around

First Time Bosch Range Owner
I love this range! This is a beautiful appliance that heats to true temperatures and is a joy to cook on! The oven preheats very quickly, and so far everything cooks evenly and fast. The glass cooktop is much easier to control temperatures than our previous (different manufacturer) range. Buy this range!!

BestBuy, but not Best Experience
Our search for a replacement range for our 20+ year old Amana Range we acquired with the purchase of our home came down to four different retailers, including BestBuy. After carefully calculating the pros and cons of each, we found ourselves at the nearest BestBuy store where an "Open Box" version of the desired unit sat there on the floor at a nice discount over a new, "In-the-box" item. So, we decided to give that orphaned unit a new home, along with a new Bosch dishwasher. Both were influenced by the Bosch expert who happened to be at the store on the day of our arrival. We concluded the purchase with additional incentives of free installation, 24 Months at 0% interest, and a general good feeling that we were fortunate to find these quality items at a great value. So, we scheduled delivery for the Range only to have to re-schedule due to an unexpected funeral. The Dishwasher would be available for delivery in late July. The re-scheduled date was re-scheduled by BestBuy and we were told because the "Open Box" item hadn't been delivered to the Local BB Warehouse, a week later and another week without an Oven as that was the reason and need for a new unit--our current oven was acting up with "F" code errors and not capable of providing an complete Bake cycle. We now were without the Oven component for 2 weeks and counting. Day of delivery... Long story short: Unit arrived, installers came in to the home only to inform us that there is going to be additional charges for removing old unit. This was contrary to what we agreed to at time of purchase. After the two delivery guys went back out the delivery truck and came back with additional negative news: a Knob on the Bosch Range had broken off. So, we spoke with someone at BestBuy, refused the delivery and sent them on their way. Today, 6/4, we cancelled entire order with great ease with the assistance of the same salesperson who put the deal together for us. Moral of the Story... might be a "BestBuy", but not a BestExperience and we will be making our old range new again with a new circuit board vs. going thru all the anticipation and disappointment, again.
