Have a Geek Squad Installer quickly and professionally connect your 51" class and larger TV to your video components. We'll also add an Internet-capable TV and video components to an existing wireless network, perform any needed software or firmware updates, and configure two smart TV or smart Blu-ray player apps for media streaming. In addition, we will program the remotes that come with your equipment, ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed, and make sure the work space is clean when we finish. We offer a 90-day limited workmanship warranty on our TV Connect.
- Before we begin: When we arrive at your home, we'll discuss the scope of work to ensure that services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
- Setting up your TV: We'll connect one new or existing TV to video components (like a cable/satellite box or a DVD/Blu-ray player) in a single room.
- Connecting to a home network: We'll add any Internet-capable TV or video devices in the room to an existing wireless network, and we'll perform any critical software or firmware updates.
- Setting up peripherals: We'll configure up to two smart TV or Blu-ray player apps for streaming, establish functionality of 3D glasses for TV if necessary, and program a non-learning-type, manufacturer-supplied remote control.
- Professional look: We'll make sure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed and that wire ties are used when necessary.
- Cleaning up: After the installation, we'll clean up the work area and remove any packaging your products came in. We'll perform haul-away and recycling if it was previously ordered by the customer and is part of the work order.
Q: Can geek squad do the installation on saturdays or sundays?
A: Geek Squad is available on the weekend with a scheduled appointment.
Q: will they take new tv out of box and then st it up
A: Yes, the Geek Squad will take the TV out of the box and perform all the tasks required to set up your new TV.
A: This TV Connect service is separate from the Mounting. You would need to purchase TV Connect & the add-on Mounting service (if you do that, yes, they would remove the existing TV).
Q: Can you bury wires in wall?
A: you can hire an electrician to run an outlet to behind the tv. in theory you could create a "cable channel" in the wall. this would be similar to a heat run, but you would have an opening behind the tv, and again one at the floor.
A: Dismounting of your existing TV is included in the installation & mounting service. We do offer haul-away/recycling services for your old TV.
Q: Aside from mounting the bracket, will they bury the wire in the wall?
A: Although we did not expect them to bury wires in the wall, they did provide a nice looking strip that hides the wires. It is centered under the TV and hardly noticeable.
Q: Does installation include uninstallation as well?
A: With our installation + mounting service our Agents will remove the existing TV at no additional charge.
