Set up my appointment with Andrew chase. If only all people that handled customer service treated their customers like Andrew. Installation was fantastic. The tech installed my tv mount, 80 inch tv and 54 inch soundbar on the wall. Professional service all the way. Everything works great, and no wires showing anywhere. WOW!

This is my fourth install and set up of large screen TV's by the Geek Squad, and, as always, the service guys know what they are doing and do it (how rare today!), and they seem to enjoy what they are doing (again, rare!). The Geek Squad is a large part of why I buy my electronics from Best Buy.

The installation crew consisted of 2 well mannered gentlemen who wore booties inside our home, installed an electrical outlet and attached our cables to the TVs in the most inconspicuous manner possible (they cut a small hole into the wall behind the TV and ran the cables through that hole). I’d highly recommend this service to anyone looking to get a TV mounted to their wall.

It's always a pleasure to work with highly-trained workers. There was a billing glitch with my e-mail/Groupon order, however, the glitch was resolved simultaneously with the mounting of my tv, then all was well.

The guys were really pro and mounted my 55 inch TV perfectly. I recommend using Geek Squad since they seem to take their time answering all my questions and finished the job within an hour. They even set up my sound bar which I did not pay for.

Simply put, the video setup service add-on is an easy way for Best Buy/Geek Squad to recover dollars from the low margin, commoditized, electronics sales. If you are expecting a service that will install your TV, hide wires, program all audio/video components, then you will need to order the following services: TV mounting, Video setup and Audio setup, which will cost you over $300. If you want to hide your wires, rather than "neatly dress" - as Geek Squad has so eloquently positioned in its service specifications - you will need to hire an electrician to add an outlet to the height on the wall where your TV will be mounted, and then you will need to follow that up with a dry wall/painting service that will fix the holes that were drilled. Quite honestly, you're better off just hiring a professional electrical/install guy to do everything for you. Hiring Geek Squad is like booking a flight on Spirit Airlines. They will shake you down to the point where you feel naked, and then tell you "you paid for a specific service and there's nothing that can be done". If you can't issue an apology when your in-store sales team gives bad information about your actual services, then how do you expect to sustain business in the long-run? Customers are smart and we have many options; hence it is only a matter of time before competitors offer "no frills" services that can be attached to, let's say, an Amazon order. What I told the customer service rep was that Best Buy can enjoy the extra $120 I spent on the "video service" because those are the last dollars I will ever spend there. It is just not worth the investment in time, money, and frustration. By the way, I distinctly recall reading that they dispose of the boxes too. As you can see in the attachment, that did not happen....

The Geek Squad techs were great. Despite an address mix-up in the beginning, they were very prompt, courteous and professional. They thoroughly explained everything they were there to do. All of our options were made known. Not once did I worry about the installation. Both men were knowledgeable about all of the products. Overall great experience!

I originally had the geek squad team mount my television when I originally purchased the TV. When I decided to move to a new location, I requested their services again and was able to get them to come out on the same day before my cable services were scheduled. Although they did a great job in being prompt with their schedule, I realized that once I was actually able to sit down and watch tv, I noticed that the television was mounted too low. I would be nice to be able to have then come back out and mount it a bit higher if I knew it wouldn't be an additional cost for their services. With that being said, I still would use them again in the future. My recommendation to best buy would be to allow your customers who have not just only purchased services of geek squad but who have also purchased certain products of a certain price point to be able to get a free courtesy television remount when moving(if a best buy credit card holder) or even at a discounted price.

I genuinely felt bad sitting and watching this guy hang my projector and put together my screen. I usually do this stuff myself, but after watching him put the screen together I was glad I did. I probably would have messed the screen up pretty badly. Jermiah, my installer, did a great job and cleaned up after himself. He answered every one of my of questions while he was doing it. It's perfect! Everything looks so great we have made it our new living room.

The television is a great product. Great picture and we have no complaints.
Getting the set here and installed was nightmare. I had ordered by phone and was assured it would be delivered and installed on the given date. Well, it was delivered but the fellow was a independent contractor, not a Best Buy employee. He was nice enough to plug in the set and connect to cable but that was it. He did hall away our old set. I called the store and after hearing "not my job" a few times, finally got a manager who tells me I must have a separate appointment with the Geek Squad. Now that's going to be 2 more weeks! Furthermore I should have been told all this at first. When the guys got here from Geek Squad they were courteous and knowledgeable but if I need them back, I have to pay $99.99 again. Not sure I'll be doing business with Best Buy even with their very good pricing. You still get a what you pay for!

Ryan and his co-worker both provided excellent customer service: fast, friendly and thorough. They called 30 minutes before they arrived. They arrived when they said they would and did not leave until all my questions were answered. I’m not very technical and they had plenty of patience with me and showed me how to use all the remotes (TV, Blu-Ray and cable). I had my cable box/DVR connected to the TV with a coax cable, but they replaced it with a HDMI cable; the coax cable does not provide HD, I did not know this. I ordered TV Connect and not only did Ryan setup/connect my TV, Blu-Ray player and cable box, but he went the extra mile and helped me select a mounting bracket and mounted the TV (using the TV mounting add-on service). They did not leave until I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this Geek Squad service. Thank you Ryan and company!

Sound Bar set up

I was originally assigned to your 3rd party affiliate to set up the sound bar...Installer’s Inc. I had 4 different dates set up with them. They either called and left a message that they couldn’t keep the appt. which meant another call to reschedule, which was also cancelled. I had 4 appt. cancelled with them so I was DONE with them. I stopped by the store and spoke with Shawna White who took down all the information and passed it on to the store manager and Geek Squard manager. I received a call from Shawna saying that a Geek Squad representative would be coming out to install the sound bar. On Jan. 11, Tomas G installed our sound bar and programmed the remote to work with our Direct TV remote. Tomas was patient and made sure that we both understood how to work all the remotes!!! I give Tomas 5+ stars.

After a lot of online research concerning AIO's and desktops I decided on this ASUS model to replace my old Gateway Desktop which served me well for 8 years. This particular model has all the bells and whistles for normal home use, outstanding visuals and plenty of horsepower. This particular model is Ultra HD, Windows 10, 64-bit, 10 point touch, 3d real sense camera, core i7-6700T, 12GB as opposed to 8GB mem. and 1 TB hybrid drive plus 8GB SSHD, plus 3.1 and 3.0 USB's. Have only had it a short time, so far so good, changed my browser to Chrome though vs MS's Edge. Chrome seems faster, compatible with W10, and easier to use. Also BestBuy had a better deal on this than the MS store had, alittle more muscle inside plus it was $50.00 cheaper. Does not have a CD-DVD burner, however you can pick up a decent one for around $50.00 if you need one. My background is IT.

Your Geek Squad tech arrived right on schedule. Went straight to work -- unpacked my new TV, assembled the stand part, Got the TV plugged into my sattelite receiver, adjusted the TV channels correctly,, and adjuted the TV controls for baclight, color, contrast, etc. for best pictue quality and showed me how to do it. Also programmed my two Dish TV remote controls to also control the new TV, cleaned up & removed the packing trash. Great Job! Very oleased! Certainly not cheap, but worth it!

After a month of reading reviews and researching our new TV purchase we settled in on the Samsung 9000 series 65" 4K TV and it was quite the adventure to get started! After the first 2 units were delivered by the "GEEK Squad" and had cracks in the screen from the shipping clamps we started to wonder if we had made the right choice, but the 3rd one was the charm! What a picture, WOW! College Football, NFL, NHL Hockey and movies are truly amazing to watch on the vivid bright colors and picture quality. The streaming on Netflix 4K movies is totally amazing too! We are very happy with our choice and glad we waited for the price drop too!

My husband leaves electronic stuff to me, however since I have a broken leg we needed someone else to hook up our 75" TV and other electronics this time. Clint B. was extremely friendly, good mentor to man they paired with him that day, knowledgeable, and explained things clearly. Answered questions and honest. Made sure everything was working as it should before he left, ran set up on the TV, connected to network/internet, was very convenient at this time. First TV was defective, he went back to BB, 25 minutes away, got the only other one in our city and brought it back. This is probably something the delivery dept. usually does.

The Geek Squad installers are very professional and courteous. They know what they are doing. However, the price does not include hiding the wires behind the wall. They want to charge an extra $130 to do this, which is absurd. Because for the price you assume this is included. However, they wrap all the wires together. So it still looks great.

I bought the tv on the spur of the moment. I was visiting a friend at Sony Studios (in Culver City). The friend works for Sony and walked me into the Sony Store they have on the studio site. The sales person offered me a price that was too good to pass up. I brought the tv home and had the Geek Squad install the tv and other components. It works pretty well but the universal remote has some problems with it. I've had the Geek Squad back 2 more times but the universal remote still won't work properly. Each time I want to turn on the tv I have to hit the "Help" button on the remote.

I had a TV mounted and the geek squad gentleman who came out was outstanding. Did an incredibly good job. My only issue and the reason I gave it four stars is because setting up the appointment with cake squad was terrible. They're terrible at getting somebody out to you but the person that comes out tends to be really good.

Samsung equipment issues syncing with my network, geek squad stayed the course and ultimately everything came together and finally worked flawlessly. I turned out to be a bit of a jerk when at first they could not get it too work, but they handled me professionally and did not get flustered and delivered outstanding results.
