Usually Duracell battery last 6 months.
You need not to turn off remote unless you really need to stop using the fire stick for very long time.
To off the remote you have to remove battery from remote.

I have to use YouTube TV to watch the Trailblazer games, because I don't get Comcast Sports, but YouTube TV and Hulu Sports do.

It does have the Tablo app for local channels with my antenna.

A:AnswerThe fire stick has to have a wifi signal, as long as you set it up to your wifi it should work with no problems. They work best with Amazon Prime but you do not need to have it.
