Yes. I do not use Alexa Voice to operate the Fire Stick. I turned off the voice recognition...but is it really off? I just use the remote.

You can use the Fire TV Stick without Alexa, BUT there is no way to disable Alexa. Pulled this quote from Amazon, "You can disable Alexa only in an Echo or Echo Dot device (that's not Firestick). There are no settings or ways to disable Alexa on an Amazon Firestick. But, there's good news. On the Firestick, Alexa only turns on if and when you hold down the microphone button."
