What is a compatiable router? null

Your question is vague...so I can only vaguely answer it. This would be compatible with any typical consumer router that supports an ethernet connection.

Depends on speed preference. I got a tolink ax3000. So far so good.

I didn’t change the router when I upgraded modem. Since most if the 15 devices in my network don’t support Wi-Fi 6, I continue to use old router AC1900(600 @2.4g + 1300@5g) which works fine for me. That said, any standard AC/AD/AX router should be compatible.
