“We have service from Optimum. Need modem that supports a telephone provided by optimum. Will this work? Right now I have an ARIS TM804. We are getting more bandwidth and Optimum says that our current modem will not work.”

No, this device is not compatible to work with Optimum's internet service but instead is only compatible to work with Comcast Xfinity's internet service
