Yes let’s hope you have a strong router, that’s what can’t get through a brink house modem is just takes signal in.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The structure you live in has nothing to do with the signal strength or effectiveness of a modem. Now a WiFi modem or WiFi router it does have an effect on WiFi signal outside a block home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The lower level of our house has a brick wrapped foundation. The upper floor has the typical drywall on stud walls, fiberglass insulation between the studs, exterior foam insulation, followed by osb plywood sheets, weather barrier wrap and finished in vinyl siding and shakes that have their own 1.5" of insulation. The modem and wireless router are in the lower level, which is opposite to the preferred way of mounting these units in higher locations of your house and they are behind the block and brick wall. The service has been exceptional and very fast. At one 3 generation family gathering, service was simultaneously provided to 4 i-pads, 5 i-phones and one lap-top with no hiccups and plenty of speed.
