A:AnswerThe approximate minimum spacing between the wall and back of the TV is based on the hinge thickness design of this Dynex mount which is roughly 2 1/2"...so in other words you can push back the TV against the wall but will have a 2 1/2" gap between the wall and TV.
A:AnswerOK, my only thought on this is you see from the pictures that it looks flat.. Yes, there is a gap between the wall and the TV. It is a fully adjustable mount, wherein, it can tilt up/down, pull out turn left or right.
I think you had meant to get a flush wall mount. I really like this one because it does have the clearance to get behind the TV to plug in the cables and access the back, and to move it around a little in case you have a larger room where you have more people watching from different angles.

A:AnswerI have a 55" Vizio TV (purchased the TV and wall mount in 2016) mounted on this Wall Mount (full motion wall mount) which tilts and allows you to pull the TV out from the wall and swivel it to the right or left.

A:AnswerNot sure about mounting it outside but I dont see why not. As long as you have the right equipment. Yes you can put smaller tvs on this mount. I actually had a 32" on there for a temporary fix till i bought a new tv.

This Dynex mount (and all TV mounts) come complete with a variety of screw sizes to fit just about any flat screen TV out there. You will have to do some trial and error fitting to see which screw size and depth of screw fits your TV. Bear in mind that this Dynex mount only fits primarily Sony and Samsung TV's .....you may have mounting issues with other brands such as Sharp, Visio, etc...
