A:AnswerHello Jazz, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the room. In a room of 139ft², the purifier fan will purify the room in 27 minutes. In a smaller room, it will take less time to purify the air; in a bigger room, it will take longer to purify the air. It's going to be very similar with heat; the larger the room, the longer it can take to completely heat a room. The air temperature in the room can also affect how long it takes. You can adjust the target room temperature up to 99 degrees, and the machine will blow heated air until that target is reached.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHi there, this is Tia from Dyson. We recommend replacing your air purifier filter every 12 months. That's because over time, filters can get clogged with pollutants, and even let unpleasant odors back into the room.
Thanks for your interest in Dyson technology!

A:AnswerHi Suki, this is Kelly with Dyson. When using the Purifier Hot + Cool HP07 in heater mode, it will be drawing 2250 watts, so you'd very likely notice a slight uptick in your electric bill. How much would depend on usage, and cost of electricity in your local municipality.

A:AnswerHello, this is Kelly with Dyson. We at Dyson take safety very seriously when developing new technology for our customers, and we want to ensure that safeguards are built into our products to minimize hazards and risk to our customers. Since the control of products over the internet is still new technology to regulators, in the US now, products contain more stringent requirements until a better understanding of all risks is understood. This is why the heating and temperature controls have been disabled via the Dyson Link app, at this time. We are certainly sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for you. The heating, as well as all other functions can still be carried out via remote control.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHi there, this is Tia from Dyson. Due to federal safety regulation UL278, the Dyson HP07 will only allow you to control the heat settings from the remote control and not the Dyson Link App. This means you will not be able to program a start time for heat functions from the App.
Thanks for your interest in Dyson technology!

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We don't measure our machines in terms of BTU's. While our machines do have a heating element, they're measured in watts. While in heat mode, the purpose is to provided heated, purified air in to your room. How well it heats your space would vary, depending on factors such as doors and windows, how warm the room already is, the air temperature outside, etc. With our Dyson Pure Hot+Cool™ purifiers, you can set the desired air temperature all the way to 99 degrees, and you have 10 airflow speeds to choose from.

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. When the machine is on, either in heating or cooling mode, it will always be purifying the air. In order for it to purify the air, the machine needs to be drawing air inward through the machine's advanced filtration. You do need to have the machine on in order to achieve that. This model does feature backward airflow mode, so you can have it on, with the air flowing through the base of the loop, rather than outward through the front and into the room.
