Hello Jazz, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the room. In a room of 139ft², the purifier fan will purify the room in 27 minutes. In a smaller room, it will take less time to purify the air; in a bigger room, it will take longer to purify the air. It's going to be very similar with heat; the larger the room, the longer it can take to completely heat a room. The air temperature in the room can also affect how long it takes. You can adjust the target room temperature up to 99 degrees, and the machine will blow heated air until that target is reached. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
