We at Dyson take safety very seriously when developing new technology for our customers, and we want to ensure that safeguards are built into our products to minimize hazards and risk to our customers. Since the control of products over the internet is still new technology to regulators, in the US now, products contain more stringent requirements until a better understanding of all risks is understood. This is why the heating and temperature controls have been disabled via the Dyson Link app, at this time. We are certainly sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for you.
