- Answer Hi Tyler, this is Kelly with Dyson. You do not need to fully charge the machine again to use it, however for best results and to achieve optimum run time, you would want to fully charge it. Keep in mind too, if using the machine in MAX suction mode, you will get less run time. We would also suggest letting the machine cool down a bit, prior to charging the battery. QuestionI need a vacuum that will be safe on a delicate hand-knotted rug. I understand the soft roller will be better than the regular brush bar, but will the movement itself damage the rug? Thanks.

QuestionI have the docking station attached to the wall. Once it’s charged, is it safe to keep on the docking station or does that ruin the battery? Is it supposed to be removed from the docking station once it’s fully charged?

- Answer Hey Lupe, this is Kelly with Dyson. This is a fantastic question. You absolutely can keep your machine on the dock at all times, between uses. The battery will stop charging, once it does have a full charge. The only caveat I would provide is to let your machine cool down for a few moments before placing it back on the charger, between uses. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
