• A:Answer Hello- This is an excellent question. We are happy to help! This model doesn't have a Steam Clean feature but you can easily create steam in your microwave to help you clean. ~Mix 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar into a microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl. ~Place the cup or bowl inside your microwave and heat on high power until the liquid comes to a boil. ~Let stand for 3 minutes, so that the steam trapped inside has time to loosen up all the caked-on food gunk. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. We just suggest using the mounting bracket of your new microwave. Q: QuestionThe microwave I bought JVM6175SKSS, had to be returned because mounting holes extended too far out of above cabinet. Need mounting holes that are no farther than 9 1/2 inches from back of microwave. Can you suggest one?

Q: QuestionOur model JVM6175SK3SS is only 18 months old and the bottom attachment of the handle broke. Is it accurate that you have to replace the entire door for over $200?! This is how the manual appears, but that seems not possible. Please advise.

• A:Answer Hi, Thanks for asking great questions! We're more than happy to help. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model and is not interchangeable. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. We're very disappointed to hear your microwave isn't working and suggest resetting the electronics by disconnecting power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds. • A:Answer Hello- We appreciate you checking with us. This is an over the range model that can't be built into or mounted in a cabinet. This model is designed to go over a free-standing or slide in range. ~According to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which approves appliance installations, you cannot use an over-the-range microwave on the counter or in a shelf. Besides not being approved for this installation, these microwaves don't have feet and are also often slanted (not level) on the bottom. Additionally, if the surface lights or vent fan were to be turned on accidentally, it could cause damage to the shelf or microwave. We recommend looking at our models that offer an under cabinet hanging kit. Q: QuestionI just had my microwave installed and I noticed it was a bit noisy when i tried it. then i noticed the word vent lit up on the display which i assume is why its load, but i can't get that to go away. There is zero heat from the oven so i dont know that

• A:Answer Hi there, we're sorry to hear your popcorn burned. We know what a bummer this can be and how worrisome this is so we're happy to help. The Sensor Features detect the increasing humidity released during cooking. The oven automatically adjusts the cooking time to various types and amounts of food. Based on the information provided, you may have been using Sensor Cooking and you may also just so happen to have to replace your charcoal filter (Filter signal). The light will illuminate after approximately 6 months to alert you to replace the charcoal filter (if used) and clean/replace the grease filters. You can reset this by pushing and holding the Reset Filter Button for 3 seconds. Also, the Popcorn button section of the owner's manual on page 14 states the following: Follow package instructions, using Cook Time if the package is less than 2.0 ounces or larger than 3.5 ounces. We just finally suggest making sure your popcorn was in that weight range. Otherwise, this could've been a cause of the burn. We hope this helps and we're wishing you the very best! - Guy@GEA

• A:Answer Hello, thank you for your question. When the model is manufactured, these extra letters/numbers are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. While shopping online, you will primarily see model numbers listed without these identifiers - in this case, JVM6175EKES. When you purchase and receive your unit, the numeric identifier will be listed in the model number on the rating plate. If you are looking for a specific version of an appliance, you would need to speak to your local Best Buy to see if they are able to provide you with stock information. Rest assured, though, any JVM6175EKES microwave will be functionally identical to JVM6175EK5ES. We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
