Questiondoes it turn off automatically after it is done cooking... I work long hours and would hate to come home to a fire

- Answer Yes, it turns off automatically.. However it keeps food warm so it is ready to serve when you get home... Food does not burn. I was concerned about leaving it on but No Problem - Works great !! Love it !!

- Answer Thank you for your question. The slow cooker does not work like an oven, as it slowly rises in temperature to cook over a longer period of time. The temperatures for each setting are High: 200-225°F Low: 180-200°F Keep Warm: 165°F.

- Answer It doesn't step down the cooking but it will cook at the set level (high or low) for the desired amount of time and then switches to Keep Warm. You can also cook using the probe and it will modify itself as needed.

- Answer No, unfortunately you cannot choose a time to start or end, just set the number of hours to cook, Hi or Lo, and when it shuts off, it keeps the food warm.

- Answer Thank you for your question. The temperatures for each setting on your slow cooker are High: 200-225°F Low: 180-200°F Keep Warm: 165°F.

QuestionIs the bowl or inner cooking unit Teflon, metal or ceramic? We have a parrot and cannot have him exposed to the chemicals that Teflon gives off when heated up. Thx

- Answer I just got this crockpot and I want to turn off the hours mode!!!I had beans cooking and wanted to cook them longer than 10hrs and it shut off after the 10hrs!!!! and wasnt even on warm…Luckily when I got home later I had enough time to kick them back on again..I dont like the HOURS part of the crockpot..I may want to cook something longer than 10hrs!

QuestionHello. I'm researching for a new crockpot. The last one always burned mashed potatoes when I put them in there on warm. Does this crockpot have a problem with burning things?

- Answer I have not had a problem at all with this crockpot burning things. However, I have not cooked mashed potatoes in mine, so I can’t speak to that particular issue. On a side note, I do not like using the crock pot bags. I feel that it messes with the heat process once the crockpot is on the warm setting. I use the baking nonstick spray and it leaves no mess! I’m sorry I couldn’t answer your question about the mashed potatoes, but I hope the part about me not having any problems with burning food helped.

QuestionHow does the power interrupt feature exactly work? How long of a time span does it work when the power is interrupted? Would leaving the probe in help keep the food cooking without interruption?

- Answer I accidently pulled the plug while using the vacuuming with the same outlet. When I noticed it was like 10 minutes later and was like, "Oh No"! Immediately plugged it back in and started right back on time. Haven't had a long delay but was impressed with the feature when it happened.

- Answer Thank you for your question. The vent hole in the lid remains open when probe not in use. The outside of this unit is stainless steel and will include a ceramic crock insert.
