QuestionThese seem to be disconnecting from wifi far too much. I bought 3... and haven't been able to complete setup on 2 of them... the other one is still in a box. No issues with wifi on any other device. Anyone else have this issue?

- Answer Mine kept constantly disconnecting from my wi-fi. My router has a 2.4 Ghz an 5 Ghz Wi-fi connection, so yesterday I went in and changed the settings so that both the 2.4 and 5 Wi-fi have different names. Since I've done that, it has not lost the wi-fi connection. I hoping it stays that way.

QuestionTrying to use my Insignia Voice portable speaker to make phone calls - it tells me "Sorry, I can't make calls yet." Google Support says Cast firmware v1.28.99351 is needed but the device has v1.27.97091. It is connected to Wi-Fi so why is it not updated?

- Answer After contacting Google Chat and looking through the manual, https://files.bbystatic.com/N10Fg21KCfxbEWl3jUtoAw%3D%3D/75951389-317a-4ed9-b77b-c7e9ed884322.pdf, page #7 I found: "Can this speaker make phone calls? No. However, you can use a third party communicator, such as IFTTT, to prompt a trigger to have your Google Assistant dial someone with a phone when the trigger is prompted. This method of calling is intended for emergencies only"

QuestionWhen my 2 speakers are paired, one speaker shows the time and the other shows "SET". Can both show the time when paired?

- Answer I am assuming that when you had gone the setup with the google app. and it was showing the correct time before seeing the word set. When this has happened to me it was because the speaker lost contact with internet. You can talk to that speaker and ask google to connect to the internet. This has worked for me or it will tell you it’s not connected to the internet. If that happens move your speaker until it is connected or run the the google app again until it’s connected.

Question1. How long does it take to charge it? 2. How do you know when it is fully charged? I just bought this item and those there is no mention of those two seemingly obvious questions in the included manual or the full manual on the insignia website.

- Answer The included Quick Setup Guide does mention the question regarding how you know the charging status. It's on the bottom of the same page with the diagram of the back of the device. Charging - solid orange LED, Full charge - orange LED off (if device is off/ white LED if powered on), and Low battery - flashing orange LED.

QuestionMy phone is set to auto on timezone. Tried resetting the speaker twice. It has been 24 hours now and still showing wrong time zone.

- Answer Negatory. Went as far as verify that wireless router was set to correct time. Like it but going to have to return. Pretty useless as a clock.

- Answer In the Google Home app, select the speaker. From there, there is a gear/settings icon. Within the settings, the MAC address is listed at the bottom, along with firmware version and IP address.

- Answer I hope this issue gets sorted out soon because right now mine is completely useless to me. It's not actually muting output during silences it's muting when the sound drops below a certain level. BIG difference.

QuestionHas anyone figured out how to change the time zone? The clock display is 2 hours ahead and stuck on Eastern Time, but I live in Arizona. Looks like someone had the same issue in one of the reviews. May be a known issue. Need a fix... Useless as a clock!

- Answer Support seems to think it's because people don't have their phone date and time set to auto. I found that when setting the device up for the first time, once the app configures wireless on the device, the device will automatically start doing a firmware update and ignores the remaining setup process. This causes it not to pull the time settings from your phone. Once the firmware is setup, do a factory reset by holding the rear button in for 12 seconds. The display will go back to SET. Start the setup process over and it should work fine. Mine came back up on Eastern Time, but a few seconds later switched to Central Time.

- Answer I'm having the same issue. I'm from the UK and was in Texas last week. Picked up two while there and unfortunately one has done this from the start and the other is fine (ruling out any county - country issues). It's fine when I reset it to factory default settings, but after around ten minutes it sets back to "sorry, something went wrong" and "there was a glitch". I've searched online to no avail. Looks like a faulty unit which I can't return because I live abroad, and binned the box as it was too big to take with me :(

- Answer After you have fully connected the speaker to the internet, 1. Open the Google Home app 2. Select "Devices" from the the menu 3. Select "Settings" for the speaker 4. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen. In the "Information" section, IP address will be listed on the VERY LAST LINE. These directions are for an Android device. It's probably similar on an Apple device.

- Answer I recently found my speaker in this state where holding down the power button for 12 seconds did not reset. But I did find a very small reset hole on the bottom of the speaker. You can use a paperclip to reset it there. Note the very small button below the hole can be tricky to hit. You need to put the paperclip straight in and you should feel a click when it pushes the button down.
