• I definitely would not recommend 1000 watts on this subwoofer continuously. You will definitely damage the sub very quickly. If it was 600 to 750 watts you would be ok.

• as long as no distortion......run whatever power you want. distortion is what destroys voice coils in woofers. all depends if it is a good quality amp or if its some cheap amp claiming 1mil watts and so on.
