A router is the device that allows laptops and other devices to connect to the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought my router because i cut my cable... When I cut my cable they wanted their router and DVR back... After the many years of "renting" them I felt at this time I had paid for it BUT come to find out these cable companies make a ton of money renting their equipment to us and then when we tell them the prices are out of line they want their mess back... I took ALL their mess back and went and bought my own router... I bought the Motorola router because it was one of the best ones listed on their preferred listing of routers to get.... I use my router for Wi Fi purposes to make sure all the computers, printers, Smart TV's etc etc etc can connect wire less... I would say a router is needed to ensure all the electronic devices you want to connect can be done so wire less.... I have no complaints about this router... Easy set up...
