Q: QuestionI use Time Warner Cable for internet. If I purchase a modem at Best Buy store, will they activate the new modem for me?

• A:Answer Yes they will hook you up just call and they will ask for the number off the modem, a tec. that came to my house told he ,said it was easy .if you all ready have one of theirs you will get a small drop in your bill about 12 dollars.

• A:Answer If you buy this modem, you would also have to purchase a router. If you are paying for a certain speed Mbps for your wi-fi at Xfinity be sure the modem will be able to take that much speed. Otherwise, you are paying for speed that you will never be able to experience (because of the modem) through no fault of Xfinity.

• A:Answer Yes! However you would need to purchase a VOIP Adapter - used to adapt your phone to this modem. Your phone would plug into the VOIP Adapter - which would plug into your Motorola Cable modem.

• A:Answer This is a cable modem only and does not have a built-in router. You will need to have a wi-fi router to connect to this modem in order to have internet access. I believe your needs would be more suited to a modem & router combo such as the Motorola MG7550 or the Netgear C7000-100NAS.
