• Yes. If you self install at home you will have to call them to activate.

• Yes it will, but you have to register it with Comcast. It works great.

• https://mydeviceinfo.xfinity.com Go to this site for Comcast and it will guide you to which modems will work. I guess Comcast now calls their internet “xfinity”. I have Time Warner or “Spectrum” so it could be different. But it does work very well under Spectrum.
