“Does this modem work with Xfinity cable/WiFi? Right now renting Xfinity modem w 150 mega bytes per second and have new LG 49” inch Smart tv we recently bought from Best Buy. Is this modem the one we need and will work satisfactorily w Xfinity?”

This is a cable modem only and does not have a built-in router. You will need to have a wi-fi router to connect to this modem in order to have internet access. I believe your needs would be more suited to a modem & router combo such as the Motorola MG7550 or the Netgear C7000-100NAS.

This modem works with XFINITY cable. It does not have WIFI capability . So one needs to buy a separate wireless router. Connect the modem to the router using an ethernet cable.

Yes, this modem works with XFinity. Do note that the modem itself does not have WiFi capability- it needs to be paired with a WiFi-capable router.
