- Answer Works extremely well with a router, but as far as cost to install, its 2 to 4 screws, so if you have a power drill, it's free.

- Answer No it only monitors the door that you have it at. I like it because you can answer the door from anywhere on your smart phone app. I like it because you can monitor when packages are delivered.

QuestionI am curious about the peripheral view of the camera. I would want to mount it where the current doorbell is. The bell is on the door frame not the door and it is 42" off the ground. Will I be able to see the person standing at the door or not ?

QuestionWill 5 hours of direct sunlight affect the Rings performance? Will the plastic melt

- Answer The plastic will not melt but in time the plastic may glaze over. The ring may not operate properly because the light from the sun will blind the camera and you may not pick anything up or you'll be unable to read. Angle the camera so it is not facing directly at the Sun.

- Answer For a typical setup, it does contain everything you need. You may need a drill for concrete. Depending on where you are mounting the doorbell you could need a 3rd party mount to tilt the rung unit more than 15 degrees. But that's in extreme cases if the view of the ring is not favorable since it has a 160-degree viewing angle. My doorbell was on the adjacent wall of the door and it still looks pretty good with the 15 degree mount included.

- Answer Yes and no... it is weather resistant and it’s atill monitors and works during rain and/or snowfall. I’ve had no problems with it during the below 32 degree weather. Due to it being outdoors, I would highly recommend getting a Bestbuy warranty; I think it was $20 for two years.

- Answer The manufacturer offers a free replacement if stolen from your property...... as long as you have the video to prove it.....in other words keep the motion detection activated and they can see the bad guy steel it then they mail u a new one

- Answer If you have a pre-existing doorbell you can connect it to the hardware of your home to ring your doorbell. Otherwise, you will need to buy a Ring Chime which is a device that plugs into the wall outlet and connects to your home network. When someone rings the doorbell it will make a chime noise.

- Answer Theoretically you can steal it, but you’d have to not answer the motion detection and the thief would need a security driver (Tory I think). Not sure why’d they’d replace it
