In all honesty, I feel that this product should be included with the base product. The unit was simple to setup, the foot print is small enough that it's not intrusive and it doesn't block the other open plug of the outlet, and the sound it makes is quite pleasant and not startling like a traditional doorbell typically is. My house has 2 floors and I plugged this in an outlet in the living room downstairs. I don't think this unit is really loud or strong enough to wake me upstairs if the doorbell rang, so I feel like I'll end up getting another unit for upstairs.

Our new house didn’t have a wired connection for the doorbell, so we bought this chime! I love it! It’s easy to set up and to use! I love all the options for the chimes, and it is so small that we can still use the second plug for something else. It’s got great sound and is loud enough (or soft enough whatever you prefer) that I can hear it all throughout the house. Great buy to go with the ring doorbell camera!

I recently purchased the Ring floodlight and the Ring Chime. They were a breeze to install and only took about 30 minutes to get them up and displaying 1080p video on my new Note 8 phone. The installation is very user friendly and if you already have an existing floodlight , it is really easy to swap out the lights. The chime unit is loud and all you have to do is plug it in and follow the simple online instructions to set the wifi and sound you want it to play...You can even log in to your Ring floodlights on Any computer... the only downfall i have found is you can't control the videos from your computer. You can only see what has already been activated and recorded so there is a slight delay.. but of course you can control the floodlight system from your smart phone...I LOVE this system and plan to get the Ring doorbell as soon as I save up the money... thanks Ring....

I REALLY like the Chime. It linked easily to my Ring. I Love the fact that there is a variety of notification sounds to choose from. The sound is clear well as the volume. I also like the fact that it has the word Ring illuminated, hence if it so happens to be knocked offline or is not connected the illumination would not be present. This was a Great Buy.

You need to get this accessory for your Ring Doorbell. Don't hesitate. The volume is good & the 2 sounds for motion & ring is perfect. Buy more if home is big & you need a good range router signal also.
