A:AnswerHi Jas.
Thanks for asking. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is a wired video doorbell that offers 1080p HD video with night vision and two-way audio with noise cancellation. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell as a power supply but does not sound your existing chime. Visit our support center for more information.

A:AnswerBuy the wireless ring . It is battery operated and you can take it down periodically to charge. I live in an apartment. Works great without the wired doorbell.
A:AnswerHello Sell,
The Ring Video Doorbell Wired can be powered by either an existing doorbell system, the Ring Plug-In Adapter, or connected directly to a transformer for power(10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W).

A:AnswerHi Zaik.
Good question. No, you do not need a wall plate to install the Ring Video Doorbell Wired. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to be installed directly on the wall. On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 1/4" (6mm) masonry bit to drill holes in your wall, then insert the included wall anchors. If you're installing it on wood or siding, you can skip this step. A:AnswerHello RingDoorbell,
Great question! The Ring Doorbell Wired uses an included jumper cable to bypass your home’s internal chime kit, so it will not ring inside. If you’d like audio notifications inside your home, you’ll need to purchase a Ring Chime to hear them.
All of Ring’s other battery and hardwired doorbell models (Ring Doorbell Pro, Ring Doorbell Pro 2, Ring Doorbell (2020 Release), Ring Doorbell 3/3+, and Ring Doorbell 4) will work with in home chime kits and AC current doorbell transformers. Here is a full product comparison which details power requirements for each device: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004668746-Ring-Video-Doorbells-Product-Comparison.

A:AnswerAs of october 19, 2021, my Samsung smart TV does not have/support the Ring app. I'd guess a smart TV using the an Android system is the only system sure to work right now. (Roku also lacks the app.)

A:AnswerRing only ships it out to the stores it said first and then other retailers will get it later so it can be weeks or months until bestbuy carries it. I even contacted ring and bestbuy about this. Really misleading. I cancelled my order and ordered it through amazon. No point of waiting for a fake answer from ring.
A:AnswerHello Mark,
Ring's Video Doorbell Wired does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio notifications in your home, pair with a Ring Chime, compatible Alexa device, or select the Video Doorbell Wired + Chime bundle.
For any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/.

A:AnswerYou will not be able to use your existing chime with the hard wired ring. It comes with something call a junction it attaches inside your existing chime and disables which ever door you are trying to attach it too. However you have different sounds and one of them that may sound like your existing chime. I’m not sure how the rest of the ring door bells work. I just wanted something that I didn’t have to go with batteries all the time. Also you will have to purchase that doorbell and the chime.
