A:AnswerMine is on the floor and depending on the channel I am listening it is both clear sounding and at times a little boxy. I am not sure what causes the difference. Overall the Sony center speaker is worth the money and is small enough to fit in multiple locations.
A:AnswerYes it is, but it isn’t the best sound, so I would look for a center channel with better mid-low presence as this makes voices sound a bit empty at times.
A:AnswerYou'll hear sound separation with a center speaker that you weren't aware of without it. With music, omg! With movies, voices talking at same time become distinct & clear.
A:AnswerI can't speak for the Sony Sub or Rears but if you are not going to invest thousands for future speakers the Sony should work fine for the center. I have some really good custom mains and sub that you would be hard-pressed to beat for less than $2k or $3k and the sony operates very well in their company. All I expect from a center channel is, good clear well-balanced Speach and the Sony is quite capable of that.
A:AnswerSony made it to he used as a center speaker , if you use it as another speaker you probably will not get the sound you want because the type of spear that is in it and the size of them, it's perfect as a center speaker, if you read the manual PDF you will see a lay out of the speakers and part #b's of the speakers and where they want them
