A friend gave me a pair of Pioneer SPBS22A for my dn1080. Do you think that they would match up well with Core Series for the rear center, and sub? I now have some very old 8 ohm speakers that I need to replace. null

I can't speak for the Sony Sub or Rears but if you are not going to invest thousands for future speakers the Sony should work fine for the center. I have some really good custom mains and sub that you would be hard-pressed to beat for less than $2k or $3k and the sony operates very well in their company. All I expect from a center channel is, good clear well-balanced Speach and the Sony is quite capable of that.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your inquiry! For this, we recommend checking the compatibility of the Pioneer DN1080. The SSCS8's Rated impedance is 6 ohms. Please take note that matching speakers and subwoofer with lower impedance (ohms) and watts than what the A/V receiver is rated may cause damage to the receiver and is not recommended Regards, Carl
