I can't speak for the Sony Sub or Rears but if you are not going to invest thousands for future speakers the Sony should work fine for the center. I have some really good custom mains and sub that you would be hard-pressed to beat for less than $2k or $3k and the sony operates very well in their company. All I expect from a center channel is, good clear well-balanced Speach and the Sony is quite capable of that.

The SSCS8's Rated impedance is 6 ohms.
