Q: QuestionWILL THIS BACKUP MY COMPLETE DESK TOP HARD DRIVE THAT IS LESS THAN 1TB?
Asked by KA2962.
- A:Answer First of all, the HD says it is 1TB, but the actual available space is about 100Mb less. Taken that into account, make the figure and see if all your drive contents would FIT. But asides from fitting in, I would want to decide wether you want to just BACK-UP your data or make a disc to act as a clone of your original. For data, just do the arithmetics, select the files you wish to protect, right-click on them and COPY, then PASTE on the HD But if you want something like a MIRROR image of it, you will need a dedicated software to do it.

Q: QuestionCan I transfer items from one passport to another without having to download on the computer first?
Asked by Bklynred.
- A:Answer I'm not really sure what you mean by "download on the computer" but if you plug two drives in, you can move files from one drive to another on a computer without having to manually copy it to your internal hard drive first. If you are asking if you can connect this drive to another hard drive and move files without the need for a computer or other device, then the answer is no. You do need a computer to move the files.

Q: Questioncan i store steam games on here
Asked by bibbles0011.
- A:Answer Usually modern games need a large and fast amount of data transfer, which will very likely clog the USB connection; remember that gamer computers are BUILT for that fast response, that you might not get if data has to be funneled thru the connector. I would rather ask some fellow gamers that play your particular game.

Q: QuestionCan I use my passport for security cameras (dvr)
Asked by Lemuel.
- A:Answer Technically yes. But most DVR systems dont have a "smart" enough motherboard to be able to recognize an external drive. I would recommend getting a desktop internal hard drive for a security system, you have to open up the DVR part of the security system and physically plug it into the SATA cable and screw it down. Most Cheap Survailence systems dont gave one inside thats why theyre so cheap. So I wouldn't recommend this external drive for your situation.
