Very versatile
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This lens is very versatile, I was able to get good portrait shots with separation with the background and it was able to get macro shots as well. Just remember there’s a switch on the side to switch between taking macro or portrait shots.

The lens is great... but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I love this lens. It's super fun to go out and do some macro shots. I like it for portraits too, just be careful with your settings to get as much in focus as you can. The thing that left me wanting on this purchase was the abysmal support from best buy. I've been a fairly loyal customer, and after a few days of promising the kens would ve ready for pick up, only to have it delayed without explanation was a bit infuriating. I lost my feeling of being a valued customer.

Awesome lens for macro and portraits.
||Posted .This lens is awesome for macro or portraits. If it made for use with a full frame body like the a7 series, but I am using it with an a6300 and I am still happy with the performance of it. Compared to the 30mm macro lens that is around 1/3 the cost, I think the price justifies the performance if you can afford it.

A New Look of your Environment
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This is just amazing—the perspective of taking pictures in a new way of looking of any items around you will change once the lens is in the camera. I am using it in the A6000 and the pictures are as expected “preciosas” nice combination

I am very happy with this 90 mm f2.8 macro lens
||Posted .I purchased this 90 mm macro lens to use with my new Sony a7iii and I am very pleased with the combined performance! The sharpness of the lens is exceptional and both the AF and MF are able to hit the sweet spot! I was surprised by the lens slide to engage the AF rather than a switch. Once I used it I actually prefer it. I have also used it for Landscape work and it does well in that environment. I do not do any portrait work so can not comment.

Super Sharp
||Posted .Love this Lens! I use it on the a6000 so it acts like a 135mm focal length. This lens is very sharp. The auto focus can be a little slow when it is hunting through the full range, but it does have the focus range selector switch to speed it up. Very happy with the over all performance.

Q: QuestionWill this lens work well with Sony A6000?
Asked by Chicka.
- A:Answer It definitely will work with an A6000 or APSC sensor but there will be a crop factor. Meaning that instead of being a 90mm lens, the focus range will now be about 135mm due to the crop factor.

Q: QuestionWill this lens be good for an indoor sports event, held in a high school stadium ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I don’t think this lens would be fast enough focus for a sporting event inside a gym. For basketball and me being positioned under the goal. I use 70-200 f2.8 G Master, then I can cover both goals. I think the Sony 85 f1.8 would be a better suited for your needs and price range based on looking at a 90 macro. The 85 is a fast lens and the 1.8 would give you more light, high school gyms are sometimes dark.
