Everything you would expect from a sharp Sony lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible Lens. I use it for macro photography and it also makes a good portrait lens. I actually am using it on a crop camera (A6600). Lens is razor sharp and the macro photos are just so cool. Video is good as well.

New to Photography but this lens is drawing me in
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Warning, this is not going to be a technical review. .... I came to photography late in life, initially seeing it as a tool that would keep me out and walking while aiding in identifying the stuff I encountered during my walks. My intention was to begin with a basic package and ultimately invest in a quality telephoto (guessing that the stuff I was interested in was ‘out there,' at a distance.) A funny thing happened when I was out with my kit lens. I found I was much more drawn to textures and patterns. A bit of research led me to macro lenses in general and this one in particular. I am quite sure I have barely scratched the surface of what this lens can do but I am impressed by what it can do. Love the easy switch from auto to manual focus. The handling of foreground/background images (bokeh?) is, to my eye, stunning. Looking forward to years of learning how to fully utilize all this lens offers. And it handles distance well, too. The only drawback for me is that if I am not careful, I don’t get as much exercise as I want! With a quality macro lens like this, every step, every stop, every glance, is an image waiting to be captured.

The lens is great... but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this lens. It's super fun to go out and do some macro shots. I like it for portraits too, just be careful with your settings to get as much in focus as you can. The thing that left me wanting on this purchase was the abysmal support from best buy. I've been a fairly loyal customer, and after a few days of promising the kens would ve ready for pick up, only to have it delayed without explanation was a bit infuriating. I lost my feeling of being a valued customer.

Amazing Macro Lens
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a hobbyist photographer, I was initially hesitant to make such a significant investment, but this lens has exceeded my expectations. Exploring the manual focus function and utilizing the focus hold feature has been an enjoyable learning experience, allowing me to capture truly stunning shots. The only drawback is the noticeable autofocus noise, which can be distracting in quiet environments. However, this minor issue is not a dealbreaker and does not overshadow the overall performance and quality of the lens.

Sony 90mm macro surprise lense
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t say enough about this lens. It’s called a macro lens but with a focal range between 85mm and 135mm it doubles as a shocker of a portrait lens. Beautiful bokeh and incredibly sharp. It’s worth way more than the price in my opinion. Build quality is exceptional and if you read other pixel peaper reviews it’s rated as one of the sharpest lenses ever made. If you like macro it’s easy to use and a lot of fun. My opinion if you can afford it buy it. Around $1000 it’s well worth it.

Super Sharp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Lens! I use it on the a6000 so it acts like a 135mm focal length. This lens is very sharp. The auto focus can be a little slow when it is hunting through the full range, but it does have the focus range selector switch to speed it up. Very happy with the over all performance.

I am very happy with this 90 mm f2.8 macro lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 90 mm macro lens to use with my new Sony a7iii and I am very pleased with the combined performance! The sharpness of the lens is exceptional and both the AF and MF are able to hit the sweet spot! I was surprised by the lens slide to engage the AF rather than a switch. Once I used it I actually prefer it. I have also used it for Landscape work and it does well in that environment. I do not do any portrait work so can not comment.

Just Beautiful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is fantastic! Images come out smooth and lovely! The autofocus is fast and is sharp! The only downside is that the autofocus vs manual focus can be switched on and off with a slip of your hand. The first time it happened, it took me a second to figure out where the switch was. Other than this I love love love this lens!

Amazing lens and very light to my surprise!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an APSC shooter and this is the only full frame lens I bought. I wanted this lens for so long due to amazing reviews and for macro. I thought it may be too chunky for my Sony a6700, but I was very surprised how light it is. No need to tell you how good this lens is. It is a must have for macro and a curiosity to see different perspective in photography.

Worth the Money!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this lens as a Christmas gift to myself. I wanted a macro lens that I didn't need to get super close with. I recently took this lens with me to the Philippines and some of the macro shots I took came out awesome. The detail is really sharp. I'm glad that the lens has optical steady shot cuz it's a little on the heavy side. I used the lens on both my A6000 and A7. It's definitely worth buying if you do a lot of macro shooting. Oh, also takes pretty sharp portraits with a nice soft bokeh in the background.

Awesome lens for macro and portraits.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is awesome for macro or portraits. If it made for use with a full frame body like the a7 series, but I am using it with an a6300 and I am still happy with the performance of it. Compared to the 30mm macro lens that is around 1/3 the cost, I think the price justifies the performance if you can afford it.

90mm macro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible lens! The Sony 90mm Macro blew me away with its sharpness and color rendering. I’ve used it for everything from close-up sushi shots to tiny spiders and delicate leaves, and the detail is unreal. The bokeh is buttery smooth, and it locks focus surprisingly well for a macro. If you're into food, nature, or product photography, this lens is a total game-changer.

I like it, it is a bit heavy but good lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this lens a lot, it focuses on the object and zooms in and out by itself.. I am not a professional photographer, but an amateur who is willing to pay the price for a quality item and this goes nicely on my sony nex7 to do macro photography for makeup and other objects. You may see photos on my website which is the same name as my nickname. I recommend this lens to anyone who is passionate about photography and has a sony!

SPOT ON CRISP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Edge to edge sharp and crisp photos. I am very please with the photos. The lens also works great as portrait lens. I have posted two examples I took while I went hiking on the Robe Canyon Historic Trail. I did not find this lens is not too heavy or large for hiking.

My favorite lens to this date!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't have this already, you must buy this lens. This lens combine with my sony a6300, you get a solid medium telephoto lens that I use to shoot sports and wildlife since this can be cropped in and images will still be tack sharp. It can also be use for portraits and obviously macro and real tight close up shots. Also, for video work, this lens has OSS so it reduces camera shake. I highly recommend this to anyone that need a very versatile lens!!!

90mm macro lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Versatile lens, I have been using it for portraits and food photography. Quality build, and add a unique look/creative aspect for video making. Started with the 35mm and this 90mm macro. Pretty good combo for now, especially as a novice photographer. Check out some cocktail

Great macro, super sharp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Produces great crisp shots of details not visible to the naked eye. Also great for portraits. Only downside is the autofocus won't keep up with fast moving subjects. Simply not what this lense was made for. Despite that, I got some decent shots of cars last week, but a lower than normal keeper rate
