Q: Will this work with the new HP Spectre x360? Through the thunderbolt or directly through the type A

A: This will only work through the USB unless you have a thunderbolt to USB adapter.

Q: can I add 2 monitors to this dock to my laptop?

A: I have been successful using both the VGA and HDMI ports at the same time. The refresh rate seems a little slow and I would not plan to run a lot of full action video, but it did work for me. I would suggest that it depends a lot on your computer and make absolutely sure you're using USB 3. Don't expect that success with USB 2.

Q: Will this work with a Surface Pro 2?

A: Yes, this will work with a surface pro 2. I'm using it now and have had no problems.

Q: I have a Desktop PC and am looking to add the capability of having dual monitors without having to install a new video card. Will this adapter work in that capacity?

A: Get a new video card for your desktop. It will work better for you in the long term, and they are really easy to install. There are a ton of videos on Youtube that will show you how to do it.
