This ext hard drive has been great as I'm able to store on it a lot of MP4 videos, WAV & MP3 audio files that I work with for my marketing and sales job. Otherwise my 2 GB SSD would have filled up a long time ago. It does need some time (3-4 seconds) to 'spin up' if you haven't accessed it in a while. And it does make some soft 'sounds' at points in the day but nothing distracting or loud enough that ambient office noise doesn't drown out. Would buy another one again as this fills up! 3TB used so far w/ 12 TB left.

Overall it’s an excellent external drive. It is a little noisy; clicks, wirrrrrs and makes other noises. It’s a little slow on file acquisition and display. I have three other 8TB WD’s and they all perform about the same. As I’ve said, overall, I’m satisfied with their performance.

Great Price for 16TB of Storage! I own 4 and they work Great. Plug and Play. Easy to use. All purpose Storage and playback. 5 Star Quality. Extremely Quiet! Can't even hear it.
