Q: Which one is better the Yamaha 9.2 or the Pioneer SC-LX80?
A: I researched ALOT before making my decision. I'm still curious on why the Onkyo isnt in with the magnolia rooms at Best Buy. Even their top end aren't Magnolia. Basically it was between 3 companies ; Yamaha, Marantz , Pioneer I picked the YAMAHA 2080 because it was better suited at power and price. This thing sounds awesome. It replaced my 12 year old Harmon Kardon. But everyone's taste and style is different. But i would recommend the Yamaha. Pending on money acourse. Go BIG...or on a Budget.
A: You have many options via Musicast or through app Yamaha AV controller. You can use Pandora⁶, spotify etc. You have multiple options for your source in each zone. Each zone can run a different source as well. Works awesome. I run tv in house and music on my deck often.
A: Low power will do more damage than too much. If the speaker sounds bad than turn down the volume. I'm running a much bigger amp for the front speakers(Martin Logans) The Yamaha is driving Klipsch center and Polk rears. It is a great high quality amp.
