Q: whats the differents between the Wemo switch and the Wemo insight switch?

A: Hi. It will only override the current schedule. It will still trigger the rule on the next schedule.
Q: Will the app control the device if you are traveling outside of the USA?
A: Yep. As long as the device is connected to Wifi 24/7 at your home, you can control it from anywhere in the world with internet access.
A: The wemo smart plugs work with Google Home and Alexa as well as the Wemo app. You go in though the app and let it discover the devices, you can then name them whatever you want. They will work without issue on an extension cord.
A: Hi, 00SB00! You can control the Window Air Conditioning anytime and anywhere you want to as long as it is plugged into the Wemo Insight Switch. All you have to make sure is that the connected device should have a mechanical switch and it should meet the 120V/15A/60Hz/1800W electrical requirement of the Wemo product.
Q: How is the unit installed Can I plug in a regular lamp and control it remotely from my phone
A: Yes. But it is not for a dimming lamp. It will take u the whoe receptical however. I remedy this by plugging it into a 1' (12 inch) extension cord that i plugged into the outlet.
