“Will the app control the device if you are traveling outside of the USA? When I travel international I use an international carrier and I use wi-fi. I would like to use this to turn lights on or a radio source will away on my next trip for about 3 weeks. Just want a reliable device to help me put my mind at ease.”

Yep. As long as the device is connected to Wifi 24/7 at your home, you can control it from anywhere in the world with internet access.

So being in another country will not be a problem, you could even travel to outer space, as long as you have internet, you can turn on and off your devices. :-)
