SO Far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I spent hours reading reviews, before I made this purchase and honestly you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt but here is my take on this item. I play league of legends, Diablo, and world of warcraft most of the time on my new gaming laptop. Graphically it is beautiful I have attached several pictures to this review to give people a realistic view of the graphics, I have also recorded gameplay and will attempt to load that as well. I have had this laptop for almost a month now and wanted to make sure that I spent time with my laptop prior to doing a review. The first one that I ordered had issues the mouse pad was not responsive and I had to swap it. This one so far, my only complaint is the spacebar sometimes is not responsive depending on how you tap the button. This laptop has a plethora of customization options to add to your ease of game play. I personally have a customized profile for when I am gaming to keep my laptop from running to hot, I also have an amazing laptop fan I use with it to make sure my laptop does not burn out. I will say that if you are not tech savvy or struggle finding you way around a computer a detailed setup may prove to be problematic. I also love the way they integrated the xbox live dashboard into the operating system, like there are quick functions to take screen shots and record your game play as well as adjust the volume of whatever I may have running in the back ground. I also love the fact that you can link different profiles to the live dashboard. I have also watched movies on here, streamed movies, recorded different audio files and so far everything is stellar. I also enjoy the fact that you can also customize the led lights on your keyboard, in sections or as a whole (I also included that picture in my post lol) Over all, I appreciate the detail put into this laptop and I would highly recommend it to any pc gamer who can afford it. My advice make sure you get a fan for it as most laptops run hot and this is no exception to the rule, if you need help with setup I am sure the Geeksquad at your local Best buy would be more than happy to help; otherwise enjoy.

it was time to move up
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.i got this for the large screen to do photo editing .. my dino laptop pc that are running on vista and xp with 12" and 15" display are the pits now and with no more support and even for net browsing and running slow ... plus i did not want to do even upgrade to win7 on those fossil laptop as i felt any hardware problems that might be was not worth the trouble to ... as i seen ,, doing that to some of my older desktops ... so far , this seems to be a middle ground of laptop choices and based on other reviews and got this on a sale ,, i too bought a 1tb ssd to swap out the 1TB hdd and upped the memory to 32gb ... which only has 2 slots,, so i now have extra 2 sodimm 8gb to sell now ... but i am little more happier to edit photo while traveling now ,, but it still is not as good as the 32" monitor i use with my desktop home .. there is a major viewing quality difference .. if you are looking at high resolution photo to edit .. I only been using this for about 2 weeks,, and win10 take a bit of getting use to .. but network browsing is fast ,, biggie difference now .. a first view of my flickr photos seem darker that i needed to brighten up the laptop screen so to show my posted photo in its best colors and lighting .. connecting to an external monitor let it all shine .. .however ,, while traveling it will just be the laptop.. I likely will not be playing games on this ,, and it is still too early for me to give a better review ,, but posting early is for the extra rewards points ,,, that BB is prompting me to do this now .

Great Performance-Overheats along with other issue
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The performance of the laptop is great, running any game I throw at it on max settings, of course until the temperate goes up....it starts to throttle and goes into a blue screen issue(BSOD) once I run a game, or intensive app. I don't know if it's a windows, dell, or nvidia issue. I had to undervolt the PC just to prevent that issue, but it eventually comes and goes. I shouldn't have to do any of that for a new PC. I followed the Dell instructions that they left on other reviews for the same issues(update BIOS), but it was no prevail. Some people have had the same issue. Maybe I got a faulty PC, but I might go ahead and return it for something else.

Best computer I have ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. While this computer is heavy. It preforms like a true gaming computer should. I was into online gaming a while back and would have loved to have something like this. Now I am a photographer, and I do my post processing of my photographs on this computer. It never hangs up, the changes I make happen in seconds not minutes or longer now. I can do my post processing usually in a few hours for 400 to 500 photographs. You can't go wrong with this laptop for whatever your need is, just remember it is heavy. The photograph I have included is one of my water drop photos. You can see how clean and beautiful it.

Not bad, good gaming rig for the cost.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Good specs and good presentation. I got this laptop for some gaming when traveling using my Steam games. I did upgrade the memory to 32GB and the HDD to SSD. Only negative is the 4 cell battery which IMO is useless. So far good performance.

Dell is the worst company
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I bought this computer since my gaming desktop broke years ago. It was a great laptop for the 1st 2 weeks. Then it started getting blue screens of death whenever I launched a game the 1st time. At first, I’d load a game, the BSoD would happen, then I could restart the pc and it would play fine. Then it would shut off every time I launched a game. I called Dell and they remotely took over my pc and updated a few things (which I already did) and called it good. It wasn’t. Then the computer shut off and somehow deleted windows and everything on it. I called Dell and they said it was a software problem and my warranty only covered hardware BUT I could pay them $300 to fix it. $300 to fix the pc that I JUST paid $1500 for. I took it to the Geek Squad manager in Traverse City and he was extremely friendly and helpful and offered to get my computer fixed free of charge. My computer has now been with Geek Squad for 3 weeks. What angers me the most is that Geek Squad called me and told me that is was the i7 processer that went bad. I’m not mad at Geek Squad, they’ve been great so far. Dell told me it was a software problem and tried to charge me $300 to fix it. Last I checked, the processor is HARDWARE. Every time someone posts a poor review, Dell posts a reply saying that “We’re sorry you’re having problems, please call 1-800-whatever and we’ll make it right” please don’t believe it. They just want you to think they’re helpful. They’re about a useful as a concrete parachute. My only complaint with Best Buy is that no one told me about the Best Buy service plan when I bought it. I would’ve bought it in a second. Now it’s too late.

Posted .Hi Alex,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about the troubles that you've had with your computer since you bought it. We're happy to hear that Geek Squad was able to work on it for you. If you have Blue Screen issues in the future we'd recommend the following steps to try to diagnose the issue:
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - https://dell.to/2SLc49e.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2u98Cct.
We hope that your computer continues to work the way you intended it to.
Best,
Bryan

Awesome Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is the first time I allowed myself to spend this amount of money a gaming laptop. I usually went for cost effective art and office laptops. This laptop is glorious. The graphics are wonderful and I can watch 4k movies on it. I am also able to work on my art and get regular work stuff done with it too. It is huge and I love it.

Nice and fast , best buy literally
||Posted .I'm just going to say one thing Awesome for the price The only thing that I would recommend is to buy a better m.2 ssd like a evo 970 plus and faster ram, also the dell WD15 docking station works great with this computer.

Q: QuestionDoes this device have a 60 Hz or 144 Hz screen? Gloss or matte?
Asked by Evgeny.
- A:Answer After speaking with Dell support, I can now confirm that this model has the 60 Hz screen! Everyone who was saying it was the 144 Hz screen was WRONG! I will most likely be returning this product.

Q: QuestionRight out of the box do I need to upgrade anything from Dell or Microsoft store? This is Christmas gift for my son and I want him to use it right away.
Asked by Joegrizz.
- A:Answer There will be a few updates in order to play games and control the rgb keyboard but not much.

Q: QuestionCan I upgrade the m.2 ssd to something like a 1 tb m.2 ssd, or can I add another ssd to a none allocated location. Also is the hard drive replaceable and or upgradable with either another hdd or an ssd. Also is the ram (8GBx2) or just (16GBx1)
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer 1.) You can upgrade the SSD that comes in it. However, it has a second M.2 slot so you could just add a second drive but I think it would need to be a SATA M.2 drive if it goes in the second slot not compatible with a second PCIe M.2 drive. 2.) It also has a standard 2.5" drive bay so you can have 3 drives in it. 3.) The model I bought came with 2x8GB in dual channel.

Q: QuestionHow many USB ports are there? The specs say three, but I can't see more than one in the photo...?
Asked by Rex.
- A:Answer There are 3 USB A ports. One on both sides and one on the back side by the HDMI port. Also there is one USB type C/Thunderbolt port on the left side. So 3 USB A and 1 USB type C/Thunderbolt.
