Q: My shredder will only go backwards how do I correct this problem
A: The same thing happened on mine, but I noticed paper was caught on the top sensor. I unplugged it and used scissors to remove the paper stuck over the sensor, and my shredder started working again. Hope this helps!
Q: How well does the bin contain the shredded paper?
A: This bin is a solid plastic collector that sits flush with the top shredder housing. There is no room for the shred pieces to "leak out". If you are careful with emptying the bin when full, you should have very little to no shred pieces that fall out of the shredder and onto the floor.
Q: What kind of guareantee on motor and cutters
A: This shredder comes with a 1 year warranty on the machine itself and a lifetime warranty on the cutters.
A: The M-7c comes with a lift off lid and not a pull out shred bin.
Q: My husband oiled with an aerosol anyway. Is it ruined?
A: Should not be ruined, I have used aerosols before.
Q: My shredder no longer operates after my husband used the aerosol. Can it be repaired?
A: The cost to repair would exceed the cost of buying a new shredder. When you buy a new one, you can get the protection plans that cover stuff like this and then if it happens, you take it to the store and get store credit to buy a new one!
Q: Does this model have auto reverse
A: Yes.
Q: Paper shredder is jammed. How can I get shreds of paper out. Won't turn on.
A: Try running the shredder in reverse to remove the paper jam. Unplug the machine and contact manufacturer if it won’t turn off.
