• The same thing happened on mine, but I noticed paper was caught on the top sensor. I unplugged it and used scissors to remove the paper stuck over the sensor, and my shredder started working again. Hope this helps!

• Switch the shredder in the forward position and then place the paper in the slot. There is a small white lever in the paper slot that's has to be pushed downward by the paper to activate the shredder.

• On top of the shredder the should be a toggle switch that will allow you to change paper direction.

• There is a switch at the top that allows it to move in forward and backward. Just flip the switch.
