Should not be ruined, I have used aerosols before.

Please try again later.sounds possibly dangerous.I had good old fashioned 3 in 1 oil(non aerosol)and bought shredder oil instead.remember you are dealing w/mechanics and electricity.buy shredder oil apply as instructed & get a new shredder.I do not believe your husband ruined anything though or the aerosol would not have been used unless he meant well and was just maintaining it but yes they do make shredder oil and I was as surprised to see that but same thing w/ceiling fans.there is a special oil.
