The cost to repair would exceed the cost of buying a new shredder. When you buy a new one, you can get the protection plans that cover stuff like this and then if it happens, you take it to the store and get store credit to buy a new one!

Simply because of the possible fire risk that exists when wet aerosol is present, we would recommend that you purchase a new machine in order to completely eliminate the risk of any reactions within the machine between the lubricant and electronic mechanisms.
