This bin is a solid plastic collector that sits flush with the top shredder housing. There is no room for the shred pieces to "leak out". If you are careful with emptying the bin when full, you should have very little to no shred pieces that fall out of the shredder and onto the floor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's solid plastic bin so pieces don't fall out. There's a window to see how full it is but it's kind of hard to see through since everything in dark inside.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bin holds the shredded paper very good and when the bin is full, it will not allow you to shred any more until you empty the bin.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does a good job of containing the shredded paper.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Insignia model (which I own) does not have a mesh on the front of the basket. It uses a translucent piece of plastic so you can see when the bin is getting full. All of the shredded paper stays in the bin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
