A: Hi there, and thank you for reaching out to us about this slide-in range. We certainly understand how important fitting the range into your space is, and are glad to advise. The range is 37 1/4" in height overall, and 36" at the cooktop surface. The leveling legs of the unit can be adjusted up to approximately 1 inch; this should allow the difference between the cooktop and your countertop to be made up. With the cooktop at a height of 36 inches from the floor, the gap between the floor and drawer bottom should be less than 1.160 inches, though this can change depending on the leveling legs placement. Further information about installing this unit into the correct space, and the leveling legs, is available in the installation instructions. You may want to check those to ensure this will work for your space - if you wish to, the document can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number and clicking the 'Owner Support' option on the product page. We hope this information is helpful, and are happy to assist if you have any other concerns or questions. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
Q: Does this range come with the air fryer pan?
A: Is it supposed to? Mine did not. THS
A: Yes, I noticed the same problem after the first use. The top looked horrible as if it was permanently damaged. I couldn’t get it cleaned back to normal even after scrubbing which seemed to make it look even worse. I put a cover over it and considered it ruined, however, the next time I went to use it I left some soapy water soak on the cooktop for awhile before wiping it clean and many of the marks from the first use came off. There’s still some blemishes left behind but it’s looking a lot better. I’ve been careful to clean the bottom of the cookware before using. It seems to be a common issue with these types of cooktops from what I can tell. They seem to cling to dirt more than my previous glass cooktop. Seems like the top can be cleaned but I don’t think it will ever look good as new because in some areas, the black around the heating elements has turned white. As if some of the black color has worn off already.
A: Hi - Thank you for your interest in our beautiful slide-in range. As the oven temperature rises, you will see the temperature change until it reaches your "set" temperature. The display will then continue to show the "set" temperature until the oven is turned off. This unit offers a single "hot surface" indicator on the cooktop surface. The glass top is black with a light white, textured pattern. We do hope this helps and that you choose this great range for your home. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
Q: What is the built in wifi for in this model?
A: You can operate the range via mobile app. It’s helpful for things like preheating the oven or turning it off if you accidentally leave it on.
Q: What trim kit will fit? The gap between my countertops is 30 1/4 inches. Is this too wide?
A: Hi there - thanks for asking! We're happy to help. The compatible trim kit for this slide-in range is JXFILLR1BB. It should fit just fine with the measurements you mentioned. If you have any further questions moving forward, please connect with us again and we'll be glad to assist. Best, Kelsey@GEA
A: Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE Appliances slide-in range. This model does not offer an oven probe. Many GE Appliances products include a Quick Start Guide only and not a complete Owner's Manual. As you have mentioned we do offer the Owner's Manuals as well as Installation Instructions online to be viewed, downloaded or printed from our website if needed. We hope you choose this beautiful range for your home. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A: You can lock the buttons/control panel by holding the "cook time" button for 3 seconds. The burner knobs don't turn until pressed down and turned, they have a pretty strong detent to get by before they'll turn.
