A:AnswerHi ---! I’m sorry to hear that your Honeywell 7-Day Programmable Thermostat isn’t functioning as you would like it. For more specific assistance regarding your PTAC unit I would contact the manufacturer. As I don’t know enough information about your PTAC unit, I can give you general troubleshooting tips to start off. First, verify that the wiring at your thermostat is correct for your system set up. Verify that the configuration of the thermostat matches the system that you have. After contacting the manufacturer of your PTAC unit, feel free to contact Honeywell Technical Support at (800) 468-1502 for further assistance if you need it. I hope this was helpful! Thank you.
A:AnswerThat is a common problem for people who sleep next to an open window, or with a fan on in the room, which acts as a dehumidifier, most doctors will tell you it's bad to sleep with a fan on in the room too.
A heater in of itself, especially one that's part of a larger HVAC system isn't a dehumidifier and if anything are know to increase humidity in some situations. If you are not sleeping next to an open window, in the room with a running fan, then I suggest that maybe you're leaving your heater set far too high, or running for far too long at a time. I suggest you take advantage of the acheduling system it comes with, and use the app on your phone. Amazon's Alexa Echo Dot can also voice control the temperature setting (but not turn the heat off or on.)
A:AnswerYou forgot to say what wires you currently have, and what wires your new thermostat will require. We can't divine that info from the current device you're using, as many of the slots can and do go un-used.
A:AnswerTime can be set two ways. Via unit itself with or without wifi option turned on. Or with wifi enabled via google app. App is a lot quicker to setup
A:AnswerI believe it is the common wire, and brings electricity to the wall thermostat. It can really be any color, but typically blue is used. It must be plugged into the ac system board, and is equired on this Honeywell model.
A:Answerinstalled this thermostat a few days ago. works fine, phone app is convenient, program mods are simple, fits same mounting holes as former (non-wifi) thermostat. only issue was this unit needs 24VAC that can come from furnace control or stand alone cheap plugin transformer.
A:AnswerNot that we are aware of... Your air conditioner would need to have an option where the fan doesn't pull air in. That's not a thermostat option. It will turn on the fan but it is going to bring outside air in.
