QuestionUSB-C ports or USB-A ports?While this model (4101DX, Windows 10) always specified USB 3.0, the connection type on both the Best Buy and HP websites stated it had USB-C ports. Recently, they removed that, implying that it's USB-A connections. Can anyone verify what type of connection this model has for USB ports? I originally avoided this model since I didn't want to carry a USB-C adapter everywhere, but I would reconsider if this model had USB-A ports.

QuestionLarge touchpad causing problems?I haven't purchased this yet but I've read some reviews complaining that the oversize touched causes problems while typing. They say that their fingers or palm accidentally touches the pad and messes up what they were doing. Anybody experiencing touchpad problems?

- Answer Windows 10 has the following touchpad feature: "To help prevent the cursor from accidentally moving while you type, change the delay before clicks work." The Clickpad driver can also "Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached." You can also disable the touchpad entirely.

QuestionAnyone experience weak wifi with Spectre and Windows10?I purchased a new spectre i7 with windows10 and can't maintain a connection to my home wifi unless I am within 10 feet of the router. I have a macbook and a $200 Asus that have no issues with connectivity from 2nd floor of my home (router is downstairs). I updated all the drivers and no difference.

- Answer I've noticed that RSSI is about 6dB better with external wifi adapters. I've only noticed a difference with marginal wifi signals.

QuestionHow does this laptop compare with Macs for strong photo editing capabilities, ease of creating videos and slide shows?I need a laptop that is easy to use for photo editing, slideshow and video development. For years now, most people in photography/film recommend Apple/Macs. How does Windows 10 and this HP product compare to the Mac in these areas?

- Answer This device should work very well for photo and video editing. The i7 processor should handle these tasks quickly. I have tried some photo and video editing on mine and the videos save and render much more quickly than any computer I have had before. Plus, the screen is HD and excellent quality. Your experience with photo and video editing will mostly depend on the programs you're using, and while this won't have iMovie or iPhoto like a Mac, you can purchase or download programs to edit your media. Overall, with the fast processor, HD touchscreen, and compatibility with many editing programs, this laptop should fit your needs well. I'm very satisfied with mine.

- Answer This model is slightly lighter than the previous. The older model was 3.26lbs, this model is 3.13lbs. Otherwise, besides the windows 10, they are identical. Really nice, premium laptop. Would recommend.
