This device should work very well for photo and video editing. The i7 processor should handle these tasks quickly. I have tried some photo and video editing on mine and the videos save and render much more quickly than any computer I have had before. Plus, the screen is HD and excellent quality. Your experience with photo and video editing will mostly depend on the programs you're using, and while this won't have iMovie or iPhoto like a Mac, you can purchase or download programs to edit your media. Overall, with the fast processor, HD touchscreen, and compatibility with many editing programs, this laptop should fit your needs well. I'm very satisfied with mine.
