QuestionMy insignia voice no longer displays the temp when asked. it did for the first 30 days of ownership

- Answer I'll let you know when I get to 30 days... I'm on my second one already. First one after initial setup became unresponsive and went back. Second one was difficult to get running. Although it's supposed to be portable whenever I disconnect and reconnect it has to be added via Google app again. May be taking this one back as well.

QuestionThis model shuts itself off after a couple minutes even though It's plugged into an outlet. It powers up again when I touch the power button, but take a few minutes to wake up and do its sound and light flash indicating that it's awake. No clock display

QuestionI have tried to set my alarm numerous times and it tells me I'm sorry there was a glitch please try again. It shows al is set but when I say cancel it says there is none to be cancelled

- Answer This sounds like a defective unit mine does not operate that way. Presumably you have tried unplugging it and doing a reset and then trying the alarm functions again

QuestionI have 2 of these NS-CSPGASP-B and NS-CSPGASP-G, the black reduces volume to 20% while playing music if you wave your hand over it so you can talk to the assistant. but the gray does not reduce the volume at all. what can i do to fix this?

- Answer Go into the Google Assistant app and select the device your wanting to change. Then in that settings page go to " Lower Volume While Listening " and turn that feature on. That will fix the problem your having.

QuestionHow can I tell if the firmware is being loaded in? The version is 105 and I need to be at 305 at least. The sticker onthe speaker says to plug inthe power and connect to WIFI to get the firmware update. Do I need to connect to WIFI manually or via the ap?

QuestionI purchased the Insignia voice speaker, plugged it in, connected to wifi. When I ask google assistant what time it is, the assistance tells me the correct time in pacific standard time. The display shows eastern standard time. How do I fix this?

- Answer Check your Google profile to make sure your profile is in the Eastern time zone. You can do this by logging into your Google account.

QuestionMany Issues. 1)Temperature doesn't display on the screen. 2)No sleep timer. 3)Turn off proximity and battery level check don't work. 4) Audio cuts in in out at low volume. This is replacement both had same issues. Firmware ver 105. Firmware doesn't upd.

- Answer I finally received a firmware update to version 306, which fixed most of these problems. I cann't seem to get the battery level using the three button press. I still have a problem with the audio dropping out if try to listen to music at a low level less then 10% volume (I have the proximity sensor turned off). But I'm pretty happy with the speaker after the update.

QuestionThe speaker sounds great but it's a little heavy on the bass at high volumes. Is there any way to adjust the bass/treble settings? I see that other speakers have an equalizer setting in the Google Home app but I don't see it available for this device.

Regarding the display, screen brightness can be controlled via voice command, or manually (decrease screen brightness = press both (-,o) buttons, or increase screen brightness = press both (o,+) buttons on the top surface (the buttons light as your hand gets close to the surface). QuestionShould the google assistant sleep timer function work on this speaker? When I try to use this function it says it is not supported yet. My system firmware version is 105.

I just bought this product yesterday (less than 24 hrs ago) and I am running into this same issue saying that the sleep timer is not yet supported. Do I have to follow the previous response and do a factory reset or should it have been updated when I hooked it up and connected it to WiFi yesterday?

- Answer There are 2 different models that Insignia makes. The more expensive model has a built in battery. The cheaper one does NOT have a built in battery. I have the cheaper model, which is the one I am reviewing, and it does not have a built in battery therefore it shuts off. Sounds like that may be the one you have.

- Answer Hi, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our Smart Speaker, we want you to fully enjoy it. Please make sure the power is connected and that you are not streaming any music. It helps if you wave your hand slowly over top. If this doesn't work please try to reset the speaker to factory default and from Google Home app make sure your speaker is running firmware version 305 in order for the proximity snooze to work. QuestionI am wondering if the alarm/clock function is independent of power and wifi.. In other words if the power for my house goes out and the internet is also out... will the alarm still function and wake me up assuming 5hr battery still going.

- Answer Yes the Alarm will still work if you have no internet and the power goes out in your home. I tested this and was shocked it worked so this is a great item to have, again only if your google home has the power it will work

Regarding your inquiries I wanted to explain that the Insignia Voice speakers leverages Google Assistant and Google Cast & Chrome. Any TV that supports Google Chrome can be controlled by the Voice assistant for Cast type operations. However, Google assistant does not support control of TV functions, like volume, channels etc. in the current implementation. Arely R. - Insignia Support

QuestionHi there Can you have the speaker learn more than one voice to do the commands? I see the google app there is an option to learn more voices but it looks like it is grey out ? Any input or direction

- Answer Hello, You can actually make this option disabled for the speaker to recognize more voices. For you to make this, you would have to make the setup again as this feature needs to be enabled from the first time setup of the smart speaker. Karina R.- Insignia Support
