A:AnswerCan't say for 100% certainty, but what you are probably experiencing is called ISP (internet service provider) throttling. If that is the case, you need to purchase an Open source router, such as the Linksys AC-3200, and get a vpn (a good one is about $100 a year). This will allow you to "mask" your usage, henceforth eliminate the throttling they are doing to your streaming equipment. Just my 2 cents...but that's what happened to me, and this is how I fixed it! If you do buy a new router, whichever you look at, make sure it says it has "Open Source", that's required for a vpn.
A:AnswerMost DSL services work with Netgear products. I haven't run across any that don't work. I've done hundreds of Netgear installations, and I have yet to find one that just doesn't like other equipment. Have at it.
